All About Kids was founded by Cathy Grossfeld in 1988, later joined by her husband Michael who are both New York State licensed Speech-Language Pathologists and have over 60 years of combined experience in providing and administering services for children with developmental delays.
For over 30 years, All About Kids has provided evaluations, individual and group therapy services, consultations, and service coordination for children. All About Kids' comprehensive offering of services and programs addresses all facets of a child's development and allows for better team coordinated and individualized treatment. We provide early intervention, preschool, school age, and autism services privately as well as through the New York State public funded EI, CPSE, and District CSE programs including the NYCDOE. Physical therapy focuses on improving gross motor skills, posture, balance, and coordination. Intervention aims to increase strength and endurance. They target skills that are functional within the child's immediate environment such as negotiating stairs, walking various hallways, balancing, and playground negotiation. The physical therapist is an integral and important member of the interdisciplinary team and collaborates with other members, such as Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Pathologists, Social Workers, SEIT Providers, ABA Providers, and Family Members.
The Physical Therapist conducts evaluations and treatments for early intervention, pre-school, and school aged children within the office or community settings(homes, daycares, pre-schools).
The Physical Therapist contributes goals to the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and the Individual Educational Plan (IEP). They will work on these target objectives throughout the school year. The therapist must be available either in person or via teleconference for every IFSP and IEP meeting for their child. Formal reports are required as per the child's program requirements.
In compliance with state and local requirements, each therapist will be responsible for maintaing appropriate documentation regarding student services and subsequent needs.
